Corporations

1. Buy a Corporate Registration Kit in the shop and use it: it installs corporation.app in your /usr/bin.
2. Open FILES, go to /usr/bin and run the app.
3. Pick a corporate username, a name and a password, and pay the founding fee in Bits (the app shows it).

The corporation starts with its own host, already at level 5, and its own chat channel. A running app gets an icon in your sidebar, so you can come back to it in one click.

Find corporations in COMM and send a request, or wait for an invite. The owner or a manager approves you. You can leave any time; staff can also kick you.

• Owner: runs everything. The only one who can withdraw from the treasury, promote people, and create, edit and hand out ranks.
• Managers: approve, reject and kick members, run payroll, upgrade corp hosts, and by default can research, craft and hand out modules.
• Employees: the workforce. What they can do comes from their rank.

A rank is a job title with a daily salary and a set of permissions: research, craft, distribute modules, revoke licenses, manage host roles.

• Any member can deposit Bits. Only the owner can withdraw.
• Run Payroll pays every ranked member their salary out of the treasury, if it can cover all of them. Once an hour at most.
• Every move of money is in the corp's Activity log.

• The corp can buy more hosts, up to five, for Bits and Bytes. Each one costs more than the last.
• Corp hosts are upgraded from the Infra tab, at a higher price than your own.
• Any member can claim a corp miner: the Bits go to the treasury, and the host's log records who did it (with the IP hidden).
